If you have a daughter entering grades 5–7, this evening is for you.

Watching your girl start to change, her body, her moods, her friendships, her growing need for independence, can be one of the most tender and disorienting chapters of motherhood.

You may be noticing bigger emotions, more sensitivity, a little more distance, or questions about puberty and first periods that you’re not quite sure how to answer. You might find yourself wondering what’s normal, what she needs from you, and how to stay connected as your relationship begins to shift.
